New job

Three weeks ago, I said "peace out" to my cruddy, contract, Oil and Gas job. Best. Decision. Ever.

Now, rather than sitting in a cubicle alone all day (boo), I see upwards of 200 patients as a Chiropractic Assistant and X-ray tech. PLUS I get to wear scrubs everyday. Yes, please!

I work with an amazing group of women and four fantastic doctors. God works in some crazy ways, but I am so thankful that He has placed me at Active Care.

I had a hard time with my ears growing up. So much so, that I had to have tubes put in twice. One of my first memories (ever) is sitting in a hospital waiting room with my parents, waiting to have my set of tubes put in. My dad, being wrapped tightly around his only daughter's finger, kept asking what I wanted from the gift shop. "Bawoooon! Bawooon!" Mom tells me that I was obsessed with the gift shop balloons. The rest of the story is a bit fuzzy to me. One, because I was drugged, and two, because I was a toddler. Apparently, once my dad was in the gift shop, he spotted a bear that he thought I would like better. Of course, once I spotted the bear (in a post-surgery haze), I completely forgot about my "bawoon." And to thank my sweet daddy for my gift, I promptly threw up all over him and Fluffy.

While I'm old (ha) and married now, Fluffy still sleeps next to my bed every night. And in my bed any time Hubster is gone... ;)  *Don't worry, loves. He's been washed several times*

Daddy- I know I'm not the best at showing my thanks (throw up, teenage tantrums, debit charges for ice cream during college finals, etc.), but please know that I am so very grateful for you. Thank you for being my first best friend and loving me unconditionally. I wholeheartedly believe that I ended up with such an amazing husband because of the example you set for me.

One year ago...

I can't believe it's been a year.
Timothy- You made me a wife. I can never thank you enough for that
(and for the COUNTLESS other things you do that make me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.)
Today and everyday, I chose you.

Progressive Vacation: San Antonio

And now, the main course: San Antonio-
Presented in pictures and short commentary

Yay for Schlitterbahn (This is the only picture we took. Cameras and waterparks don't mix)

The ADORABLE stray puppy at our hotel.

Who napped outside our door. (I wanted to take him home so badly)

Fogo de Chao. We ate here the night we got engaged.

Complimentary dessert. Please and thank you.

Exploring the River Walk.

 Goofy River Boat picture.

Hubster snuck this one.

The bridge where we got engaged.

Other side of the bridge.

Us with the bridge in the background.

Lunch time serenade.

What's vacation without sangria swirl margartias?

See how happy they make me?

Obligatory Alamo photo.

We didn't stay long. It was WAY too hot.

So instead of learning more about TX history, we hit the Wax Museum. (We're classy like that)

Hubby stealing my drink.

The amazing, yet haunted, room we stayed in our last night. Fancy!

The outside of our hotel.

That's all folks. :) We had a blast and can't wait to go on another trip next year.

Yeah, yeah- I promised a San Antonio recap, but believe me, this is just as good (if not, better).

Vera Grace was born at 8am this morning!
9 lbs 10 oz, 21" long.
(her sweet momma is officially my hero)

Here are a few Instagram shots we snapped today:

Big sisters, Vivian and Violet, checking her out-

Vivian is a natural. So sweet!

I may or may not have teared up several times today. She's perfect.
(and homegirl has chipmunk cheeks like me- adorable!)

Tim was smitten, too. (As if the baby itch alone wasn't bad enough)

Sweet baby girl.

This family has been the BIGGEST blessing to Mr. G and me.
I can't wait to make more memories with them now that precious baby Vera is here.
