Pomp and Circumstance

After a brief meeting with the academic advising team this afternoon I was told the best news I've heard in a long time:

Like, this year! In ten short months, I will be DONE with college.

Certainly, there will be things I will miss.

For example:

I will undoubtedly miss Ensemble! Not to mention musical cast, my kiddos at work, Delta Gamma Rho, my housemates, etc.
(I could go on for a while)

BUT being done with college, starting a new life, and finally being an "adult" is what I've dreamt of for Heaven knows how long. Everything is finally falling into place and I know that it is all God's doing. Praise. He truly is good.

With excitement and a smile across my face,

PS- Check out my cool new hair in the Ensemble picture!

Not me! Monday

Confession- As a blogger, I have found myself much more talented at reading others blogs, rather than writing my own. In attempts to remedy this, I am joining the "Not me! Monday" trend, as inspired by my favorite blog, MckMama. Most of the "Not me! Monday" bloggers are wives and mommas. I'm not quite there yet, so this is more of a "college" flavored post. Enjoy and check out the other "Not me! Monday" links on McMama's blog.

Here goes...

With my alarm set for 7:45am, I definitely did NOT hit snooze at least twice and stay in bed until 8:30 this morning. No, not me.

I definitely did not celebrate not having to sit through chapel because of visiting high schoolers in my seat. What kind of heathen does that? Certainly, not me.

Like a responsible student, my homework was all completed before my boyfriend's arrival on Saturday and there is not a chance that I made him sit with me for a while this morning while I completed an assignment or two before class. Nope, not me.

I'm a classy girl, so there is NO WAY that I took advantage of red lights/stop signs by kissing my boyfriend at every one. That's ridiculous.

And I certainly did not skip two of my classes to enjoy every moment I could with said boyfriend before he flew back to Oklahoma. That's irresponsible and definitely, not me.

Lastly, I did not plan to study for a test in my 6:00 class and then end up napping instead. And of course, I didn't do really well on the test, despite my lack of studying. That is, without a doubt, not something I would do. Nope, not me.
